Ellen McRaney is a visual artist specializing in fine art wedding & portrait photography. Her work includes children and family portraiture, weddings, model portfolios, travel photography and more. Ellen's photographic career began with one stroke over 10 years ago. October 1, 1998, Ellen had a massive cerebral hemorrhage that left her without the ability to read, write and speak. After working through all of the different therapies, Ellen had to decide a new plan for her life. She took an adult ed photography class for fun to give herself time to decide what to do, and fell in love.
Ellen graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and specialties in biology and classical studies from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi, in 1996. She began to pursue her passion for photography in 2000 by enrolling in photography courses at Emory University and began her career as a photographer in 2001. She has continued to pursue an ever increasing standard of achievement and artistic vision by challenging herself to improve her technical skills and seeing the beauty of the details.
